NEW AGE FLAMENCO is a group of professional musicians who will provide the perfect music for concerts, festivals, weddings, receptions, parties, or corporate events in your area. Some of their regular clients include the Columbia Tower, the Four Seasons, Sorrento and Westin Hotels, Overlake Hospital (Bellevue), Benaroya Hall, Seattle Aquarium and several Seattle's authentic clubs and restaurants - El Guacho, Vinobella, MAISON DeLILLE, Agave Issaquah, Willows Lodge, Milagro Cantina, Etc...
The band was formed in 1998 by bass player Oleg Ruvinov. In 1999, the band adopted name "New Age Flamenco" and practiced frequently playing popular tunes by Armik, Gypsy Kings, Carlos Santana, Ottmar Liebert and others.
 
Their music reflects a strong Latin connection, Mediterranean folk, European roots, jazz, and a Gypsy soul blended with the infectious rhythms of modern music New Age Flamenco personifies eclecticism by absorbing their influences and combining them to create a new, personal sound of their own. All musicians are professionally trained and have great stage experience.  
 
Oleg Ruvinov (Band Leader/ Bass) - started as a tuba and bassoon player in middle school and studied classical music and jazz in College at Baku, Azerbaijan. 1985 - 1990 - studied in Gnesyn's musical Academy in Moscow, Russia. 1991-96 - Soloist of a Lundstrem State jazz orchestra. He played with all major Russian jazz musicians of post-Soviet era and frequently toured around Russia, Spain, Finland, Poland, Germany, Israel, Egypt, Greeks, Italy and Switzerland. Since 1997, he lives and performs in Seattle, Washington.
 
 
Vidas Svagzdys (Rhythm Guitar/Principal) - Started as a violin player in a middle and high school. Studied and graduated as a guitarist in a Lithuanian National Music Academy (1986 - 1990). Since that time he permanently working as a guitar teacher. As a guitarist, arranger, composer worked with various bands in Lithuania, Poland. Performed in Poland, Germany, France, Austria, Great Britain.
 
 
Yusuf Kilgore "Solutsky" is an accomplished guitarist, teacher, and composer who is known for his versatility and interest in playing different styles and genres. Yusuf received a B.A. in Folklore/Ethnomusicology at Indiana University and also studied in the School of Music there. He currently resides in Seattle where he is largely focused on being the lead guitarist for the group New Age Flamenco. He also plays in groups that perform Brazilian, salsa, gypsy jazz, americana, celtic, Eastern European folk, Latin jazz, flamenco and bluegrass music. 
 
 
Anna Vasilevskaya (Vocal / Guitar) - Composer and performer, was born in Novosibirsk, former Soviet Union. She studied at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS) in Moscow. Having moved to the United States in 1995, she continued to perform in groups and as a soloist. In 2007 Anna and her husband Dmitry Vasilevsky founded Arts for Hearts, Inc., a company that promotes various arts through education, public and private performances, fundraisers, and other art-related activities. Started performing with New Age Flamenco since 2007.
 
 
Ernesto is a professional percussionist with twenty years of experience in live performance and studio recording. A native of Seattle, he began his career in local jazz and dance clubs. Since then he has extensively toured the United States, Canada and the Bahamas, with The Seattle Rhythm Band, Bochinche, and Expresión Latina. Ernesto also designs Latin percussion instruments. Utilizing specially designed hardware his designs improve the sound quality of percussion instruments.
 
 
Julian Catford (Lead Guitar) - Composer and performer. One of Seattle's top guitarists, with years of experience: CLASSICAL, SPANISH, FLAMENCO, BRAZILIAN, GYPSY JAZZ, SMOOTH JAZZ and SWING. Classical guitar studies with Guillermo Fierens (a student of Segovia), Julian has performed in Mallorca, Spain, Scotland, Tahiti, and Mexico, and appeared as a guest artist on television. He has accompanied Rosemary Clooney and Cab Calloway. Started performing with New Age Flamenco since 2003.
